HODES.The "bride of the Sun" island which means lots of sunshine throughout the year. The sandy beaches and the blue sea and its excellent vegetation make Rhodes one of the stars of the Greek tourism. It;s antiquities and particularly its Venetian monuments are part of its charm.The island has luxurious hotels, rich night life, expensive hotels, cheap tavernas. INDOS.The traditional village which is visited by many tourists during the summer. The famous Acropolis of Lindos is built on a huge rock 116 meters above sea level.
It's a steep climb up the steps or you can ride up on a donkey. Once to the top there are breathtaking views down to Lindos village. The village below with it's 17-century houses has been maintained in their traditional style. The village has been described as a National Historic Monument so new buildings are prohibited. Beautiful beaches, rich and romantic night life and all kinds of entertainment at your disposal.
OS.The island of Hippocrates, the father of medicine. It has abundant vegetation, woods, forests, flowers and waters which distinguish it from other islands. The Venetian Fort, the variety in antiquities, the Byzantine Churches and other monuments remind you that you are in the Dodecanese. Accomodation is conveniently found. There are also many restaurants, tavernas, and other entertainig centers. Sandy beaches, sunny weather, friendly atmosphere is what one encounters when arriving in Kos.
